Kids and parents--mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 3rd! Sandcastles Children's Museum will be opening their doors at 408 S. James Street in Ludington, promising more fun than ever!

In its first year of operation, Sandcastles had a wonderful response, with 1,500 visitors from mid-June to Labor Day. Parents, kids, even grandparents enjoyed interaction through educational activities, including weights and measures, art center, and theatrical stage.

This year's theme will be "Michigan Woodlands," featuring a giant tree house with a puppet theater, a water table, balancing logs, interactive apple tree, and more. Kids will love the 20 Discovery Tubs at Sandcastles. Some tubs are science related, where you'll find bugs, snakes, skulls, and Under Your Skin. Others are just whimsical, and offer an activity card with a key or explanation of what to do with the contents. The Exploration Table changes each week, and new this year is "Thrilling Thursdays" at 10am, where the whole family will discover a special, fun activity.

For something different, have Sandcastles host your child's birthday party! They will have extra staff on hand, and will provide a special craft for each child to take home. Parties can only be booked for June, July, and August.

Sandcastles will be open on Tuesdays, plus Thursday-Saturday from 10am-5pm, and Wednesday from 10am-7:30pm. Admission s $3 per person. Come see what's new and exciting at Sandcastles Children's Museum.
