Barns & Byways 2008
October 11, 2008
We don’t like to say goodbye to summer, but autumn in Ludington brings its own special beauty and unique offerings. And this year there’s an even better reason to visit Ludington. On Saturday, October 11th, the 2008 Barns & Byways Tour will feature eight Mason County barns, still in use by families whose ancestors date back nearly a century. Most of these historic barns are located on Conrad Road, and visitors can tour the inside and compare architecture.
It’s an opportunity for families to get in the car, drive the back roads of Mason County, and take in the glorious colors of fall. Many trees will be sporting their shades of red, yellow, and orange for your enjoyment. With the crispness in the air, it’s the perfect time to visit the past and honor local farms, which are the backbone of our country.
Tickets are available in advance at the Ludington & Scottville Chamber of Commerce, Historic White Pine Village and the City of Scottville. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate old fashioned values with your family, at the Barns & Byways Tour on October 11th.
